Dr. Michael Lassere

Michael W. Lassere MD is a 1981 graduate of LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans Louisiana. He has had an active clinical practice since 1985. He is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lassere was certified as an OB/GYN physician in 1987 and re-certified in 2007. He has been a member of the American Urogynecology Society since 1994.

He works with local schools and universities to provide clinical hours for medical students. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at WVU School of Medicine and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

He has received national recognition by the Daily Points of Light Foundation for his work with free clinics in Virginia. He also received the James G. Snead award for excellence in community health.

Dr. Lassere has had an active clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology at Summersville Memorial Hospital since 2003 He also specializes in female urology/gynecology which includes urodynamic studies.
